OS Distribution Release AlmaLinux 9.5 (Teal Serval)

AlmaLinux 9.5 is available as a prebuilt image and netboot install.

Version 9 of AlmaLinux will be supported by AlmaLinux OS Foundation until May of 2027.¹

A brief list of changes are below. You can view the release notes and upstream releas notes for all changes.

• GCC 11.5
• Go Toolset 1.22
• Rust Toolset 1.79.0

Installation

You can install AlmaLinux 9.5 via the VPS Console using option #9 (install new OS image) and selecting “AlmaLinux 9.5 (Teal Serval) 64-bit”.

SELinux is enabled. The initial boot after the install will relabel the filesystem, after which the system will reboot in to enforcing mode.

AlmaLinux 9.5 is only available to HVM instances.
