OS Distribution Release OpenBSD 7.3

OpenBSD 7.3 is available as a netboot install.

• LibreSSL version 3.7.2
• LLVM/Clang 13.0.0
• OpenSSH v9.2
• Unbound 1.17.0

Kernel:

• add syscalls waitid, pinsyscall, getthrname and setthrname, and more
• multiple SMP improvements including mmap, munmap, select, poll and more

Userland:

• TZ can use absolute paths in /usr/share/zoneinfo
• don’t clean files using shm_open via daily
• updates to IPsec (iked)
• updates to ed, df, disklabel, gunzip, top, vi
• updates to audioctl, rc, timeout
• fixes and improvements to the installer
• updates to acme-client, nc, tmux

Installation

You can install OpenBSD 7.3 via the VPS Console using option #6 (set bootloader, rescue mode, or netboot installer) followed by option #4 (Netboot installers) and selecting “OpenBSD 7.3 64-bit”.

OpenBSD 7.3 is only available to HVM instances.
